Since World War 2 America has shouldered the responsibility for being the FORCE for peace, democracy, sovereignty and international good will on this planet. We have spent millions and billions and – trillions to keep a credible, colossal military ready for trouble anywhere, and everywhere. The relentless, staggering growth of the defense budget cannot go on forever. Perhaps a different kind of offense might get a winning result at a fraction of the cost….
Clobber them with kindness. I wonder what might happen if we made it official policy (military doctrine) to get aggressive about getting friendly with certain people in certain nations. For instance – North Korea! Now there is a nasty sore that needs some serious friendship medicine.
We sent the U.S. Army there awhile back and achieved a draw with the Chinese Red Army who didn’t care how many Koreans died so that half of them could end up as slaves to communism. The North/South division has gone on for so long that it is a tired spectacle of astounding success on the South side, and a cruel inhuman disaster up North. Many years from now people who read history books about this time, OUR time, will be disturbed to wonder – Why didn’t people who lived in freely elected representative republics stand up and put a stop to it? What paralyzed them into servile acquiescence to a blatant criminal fraud and relentless atrocity?
Would it be a mission impossible to go ahead and send American ‘missionaries’ to North Korea to begin supplying some people with the standard living equipment we assume that civilized existence requires? If the hometown folks in places all over North Korea see the things that we take for granted — refrigerators, washing machines and dryers, toaster ovens, laptop computers, family cars, comfortable clothing and shoes, etc. what would happen to their ‘attitudes’ about the prison they live in? Let’s try it and see what happens. It will be interesting to see how Little Rocket Man and his generals deal with friendly neighbors who want to help pull their slaves out of the bottomless hole of communist failure they are kept in by guns stuck in their faces.
If it works in North Korea it might work anywhere. Cuba? Sudan? Nicaragua? Venezuela? It will probably cost a LOT LESS than operating a HUGE military – for what actual purpose? For people in this country it would be a lesson in the Reality of Goodness which the Ratmob media could not defame or deny.
President Trump can go to North Korea with 100 Americans – John and Jane Doe people, NOT celebrities, to travel around the country and meet John and Jane Kim who live in that vicious nightmare. When Americans see what the – HELL – North Korea actually is they can get a CAREFUL idea about injecting aid directly to the people who are trapped in that ‘workers’ paradise’.
I wonder how that would play in ….. China? I wonder what the Chinese Red Army would do about it other than stew in their boiling pot of totalitarian mendacity. And I wonder how long it might be until the people of North Korea reclaim their humanity.
