What is supposed to happen, go on in elementary, middle and high schools? The purpose of any school is to assist children in becoming SKILLFUL AT THOUGHT. That is the First, most important mission for teachers, administrators and parents – and also legislators.
A child only has ONE CHANCE – one chance to be a toddler and learn from mom and dad how to walk and talk and break stuff, and how not to break stuff. A child has only one chance to go to kindergarten, one chance to go to first grade and one chance to go to every other grade. That ONE CHANCE MUST GO RIGHT. When that one chance is past there is no going back to make corrections, no redo, no if I could do it over again. Children are not aware of this. It is our Responsibility to make them aware – wise them up – to their participation in and contribution to their own education, their own learning and scholarship.
Each day teachers have the duty of completing successfully the learning efforts of all the kids in the classroom. There is NO TIME for – nonsense – no time for political opinion mongering, no time for crap culture indoctrination. For twelve years those days must add up to intelligence, acuity, circumspection, self-understanding and respect for knowledge. Every day life throws lots of problems and challenges, big or small at us. One thing we the taxpayers do not need to put up with is high school graduates becoming adults who were poorly educated, mentally incompetent or psychologically damaged.
Our schools must operate under the OBLIGATION to make sure that every year GOES RIGHT for all of the children whatever personal situation each child might have. That obligation is met when teachers, administrators, school board members and parents commit themselves to directing all of their efforts toward ONE RESULT – making sure that every child has succeeded in becoming SKILLFUL AT THOUGHT. The final product we wish to see is a graduate who can walk through the world confident in his/her ability to understand what is going on immediately and what has gone on in our heritage of learning and respect for knowledge. This is not any mission impossible, it is entirely doable for people who like to think they are intelligent.
In New Jersey (Lawrenceville for instance) people are now under legislative dictate that requires and enforces – by blatant threats – the propaganda push of ‘gender ideology’ in all schools. This ‘phenomenon’ is being pushed on schools all over Our Country. The parents at Lawrenceville might consider that what they REALLY want is not just to stop some ridiculous gender ideology enforcement – but a Complete Dedication from all teachers, administrators and all school board members for using every minute of every day to have children work to become SKILLFUL AT THOUGHT. All lessons should be developed to succeed at that objective, that mission. There is not one minute to waste on psycho-babble opinion enforcement in any classroom, anywhere, anytime.
There are around 98,000 public schools in around 13,200 school districts in America each with a school board. There are around 3.8 million teachers and 92,000 principals. It is beyond belief that suddenly in our society there is a desperate need to join in with a cultish obsession with ‘gender’ confusion. America is a very prosperous nation with lots of spare time and opportunities for – unhinged – behavior. We see all kinds of odd characters parade across the news entertainment stage for 15 minutes of fame and some people get to thinking that odd is the way things are. They are wrong. Conservatives need to step forward and say the truth out loud – OLD notions of goodness, decency, honesty, consideration, scholarship and achievement are as valid today as they have been throughout history. Our children shall not be forced to participate in the problems of a VERY few kids – kids who need help, not ‘top surgery’ for God’s sake. Can we PLEASE just outlaw that right now.
The American public school machine is a massive contraption that has a mostly uniform performance model with varying local style features. Education must always proceed on an UPWARD trajectory – always better, always raising standards, always expecting improvement. A society, and education system that begin to decline, to fail, to veer toward inferiority are asking for trouble – more and more trouble. As poorly educated people go on to become teachers and administrators they just make the situation worse by inflicting poor education on the next generation – and so on and so on to total disaster. We are watching it happen now. The time to ‘do something about it’ is not when it is ready to crash and burn, but when the first signs of trouble appear. We can accomplish that feat by starting at the beginning, a very good place to start.
The Best way for parents to help their children is to take them OUT of public schools and put them in private schools. BUT we don’t have the money to pay for private school and pay public school taxes at the same time. Correct Answer – STOP PAYING PUBLIC SCHOOL TAXES. Parents can get active and start their own private schools if they don’t like the schools near them. BUT the FBI will come knocking on our front door. The First Step in this process is to pass federal civil rights legislation – an Independent School Law. That law will give parents the Civil Right to send their kids and their money to whatever school they want. When that happens, the public school cancer in this country will start to shrivel away. And good riddance to that crowd. And tough luck for the creeps in the FBI who will have to find some other country to practice their thug ‘government’.
Again, it is beyond belief that this shabby mess is going on in Our Country. There is something Wrong with America. It has been there from the start. I wonder what that Problem is.
